I love reading. To be able to shut out the rest of the world for just a little bit, and lose myself in a book – that is bliss. Although now, as most parents would agree, once kids come along, there isn’t always a lot of time for you. When those moments do come along, you need to grab them and make the most of the small window of time.
I discovered Meredith’s blog, My Pink Champagne Life, last year and love it. So when I discovered she had written a book – I couldn’t wait to read it. My husband bought me a copy of My Pink Champagne Life for Christmas (after some pretty obvious hints that I would really love a copy of it!), and I recently finished it.
My Pink Champagne Life by Meredith Shafer
I loved it. It is beautifully and honestly written – like you’re sitting down for coffee with an awesome friend and you’re just chatting away to each other. It was so easy to read, even when you have to put it down what seems like a million times and it ends up taking ages to read because of all the interruptions!
Meredith writes about life with kids and all that goes along with it – the laughter, the tears, the days of seemingly never ending laundry. Adoption, faith, marriage, motherhood and love – an “unorthodox, slightly messy modern-day fairy tale”.
Carve out that time for you, grab yourself a cup of coffee and lose yourself in this book for just a little bit.
This isn’t a sponsored post, I just loved Meredith’s book! Her second book is coming out soon which I’ll definitely be getting 🙂
Do you love time out with a good book? Got any recommendations for another great read?

I am soooo behind on my blog reading and then I find your sweetest comments and blog post!!! You just made my day! I am honored that you would take the time to read my book and then write such loveliness about it. Thank you for the kindnesses and for your friendship, it means so much💗💗💗

Sounds like a great read! I’m a bit of a bookworm myself … when I find the time … so I might need to check this book out.

It sounds like a cracker! I don’t get nearly as much time to read as I’d like but funnily enough, I’m also reading a book by a blogger. It’s Not Quite Nigella by Not Quite Nigella, well, Lorraine Elliot. It’s the fascinating story of how she got to be a blogger and all the amazing bloggy adventures she’s had plus some uber delicious recipes. It’s taken me a long time to read, but that’s really because I don’t want it to end! Highly recommended!

I love a good book and before I had the kids I would spend hours in the bath reading and topping up with hot water as and when needed. Obviously I don’t have time for that these days but this book does sound right up my street.
